The surface of Venus is covered with deadly toxic gasses, so colonists turned to the temparate zones of the sky. Now, ships as small as a one person single home and as large as ten city blocks fill the zones sixty miles above the surface, to make up the wide regions of Venus’ cloudlands.

Attempting to elevate humanity, the original Venusian colonists and founders embraced a philosophy of absolute freedom. No central laws, no restrictions. Leaving their future in the hand of human decency.

Unfortunately, the dream was far from realized. Now cartels and corrupt corporations rule the cities, elevating their profits through exploitation.

Meanwhile, the agricultural ship zones are inhabited by descendents of religious refugees who escaped Earth’s ban on organized religion. To keep themselves safe, they harness fierce militias who only allow their own kind inside their borders.
